Fungal nail infections are one of the more common problems affecting the feet. Onychomycosis – the medical name for a fungal nail infection – affects toenails more often than fingernails and causes nails to become brittle and discoloured.

These infections, however, can be effectively treated using antifungal nail lacquers. These treatments contain the active ingredient amorolfine hydrochloride and work by disrupting the growth of the fungi causing the infection.
