What is Alli?
Alli is a clinically proven weight loss aid used to treat adults who are overweight and have a BMI of 28 or higher. Alli is designed to help you to lose more weight than by dieting alone as long as you follow a reduced calorie, low fat diet and exercise regularly.
It contains the active ingredient orlistat which is the only medicine licensed in the EU for weight loss.
Alli is not an appetite suppressant, stimulant, fat blocker, or a pill with magical properties. You still have to eat a healthy low calorie, lower fat diet and exercise regularly, but Alli helps you lose weight faster.
How does Alli work?
Unlike other over the counter slimming pills, Alli works in a unique way to target the fat in the digestive system. Its active ingredient, orlistat, attaches to the enzyme lipase that breaks down the fat from a meal, effectively preventing it from digesting fat.
It stops about a quarter of fat from your diet from being absorbed and this fat will pass out of your body in your stools.
As a result, the fat cannot go through the gut lining and be stored. The fat just passes through the body and is excreted so calories do not turn into extra weight.
How effective is Alli?
For every 2kg you lose through dieting and exercise, Alli diet pills can help you lose an additional 1kg. It has been clinically proven to help you lose 50% more weight than dieting alone.
In a clinical study, visceral fat was reduced in over 70% of Alli users who followed a reduced calorie, lower-fat diet.
How do I take Alli?
The Alli tablets should be swallowed whole with water three times day during meal times. It can be taken one hour before, during or an hour after the meal to be effective. Don’t take it if you are having a meal without any fat or if you skip a meal. Also, you should not take the medication more than three times a day.
Since Alli affects how the body absorbs different foods, your body may struggle to extract adequate amounts of certain nutrients from your regular diet alone. You should supplement your diet with a multivitamin specifically designed to replenish the vital vitamins and minerals lost. We recommended the OneVit Complete multivitamin, a daily supplement that rebalances a wide range of important micronutrients, such as vitamins A,D, E and K.
Can I take Alli?
Alli is only licensed to adults with a BMI of 28 and over and should be taken in conjunction with a healthy low calorie diet. Alli does not require a fat-free diet, just reduced fat. In fact, fat is an important part of a healthy diet in moderate amounts. It helps the body absorb vitamins and other essential functions in the body.

How fast does Alli work?
